Tip #1 - "I am unavailable at this time"

Politely decline while communicating that your current commitments prevent you from taking on more.

Efficiently managing your time is crucial for productivity. If you’re unavailable, you are unavailable.

Tip #2 - "I can recommend someone else to support"

Spread positivity by suggesting an alternative solution, supporting both yourself and others.

It’s important to remember that others can not only share our superpowers, but there are many who may be stronger in that skill than we are. And that is a great thing when we need to say “no”.  We’re using our time wisely by directing the ask to someone we know can help.

Tip #3 - "No"

Yup - “no”. It’s a complete sentence. Simple, direct, and powerful. It's okay to say no without over-explaining. Your time and energy are valuable.

Tip #4 - "Thank you thinking of me. I am overcommitted"

Express gratitude, be honest about your limitations, and prioritize your well-being.

In this statement, you’re not only expressing gratitude but also making it clear that you do not have capacity.

Tip #5 - "This is how and when I can support you"

One of my favorites. This is a way of saying “no, but here is what works for me”. It allows you to be empowered with your time and support. If you genuinely want to help, offer a clear picture of when and how you can contribute without overextending.
